The images that you see in this collection are photographic interpretations of mental illness.
They aren’t meant to have just one interpretation, and they aren’t meant to be easy to look at for everyone.
While some of these visual interpretations stem from my own personal experience, most of them were greatly influenced by discussions with family, friends, and psychology professionals. Many thanks to all of those who were willing to share their struggles with me for this project, as well as to those who were willing to become the faces (and hands) for this body of work.
